Disney was by far the best trip I have ever had in my life!!! Both kids slept on the plane and neither one of the cried once during the trip there or on the trip home! We spent uninterrupted time as a family and enjoyed the sunshine!
When we got to Disney we went to guest services to get a disability pass for our daughter Scarlett. They made that process so easy and they were so friendly about explaining how it all worked and wanted to ensure that our daughter had the most magical experience possible! Disney went above and beyond for our daughter! A few times during the trip I literally cried with so much warmth in my heart for the special attention that my daughter received while at Disney. She got extra special time with the princesses and not once did our family feel rushed while she was doing any meet and greets and she was with one princess for almost 20 minutes!
For anyone that doesn’t know how the disability pass works, let me explain. They give your child or whoever in your party that needs the pass a card and out their picture on it. You scan it with a ride attendant at the ride you want to go on and they give you a return time based on the wait of the ride and once that time comes you can go in the fast pass line and get on and enjoy your ride. So, you pretty much “wait” in line without actually having to stand in line. When you get a wait time for a ride you also cannot get another wait time for another ride until after that wait time is used, so only one ride at a time. We were able to walk around and get some food all while we were “waiting” in line. It actually worked out really well because while we were waiting for the ride time we were able to see the whole park and really enjoy ourselves.
My daughter Scarlett, 3, had the biggest smile on her face the whole time and being able to experience Disney through her eyes was an unexplainable feeling. I honestly cannot wait to go back! We when right when the park opened and stayed till close and it was a spectacular experience. Of course Disney can be stressful and overwhelming but it’s all about how you approach the experience. We chose to not be stressed and we weren’t. Honestly we are lucky we can afford to take our kids to Disney and have that experience when many people can’t so to us being able to enjoy that as a family was a blessing and a luxury. We give Disney an A+ especially as a family with someone who has a disability, they were just amazing!
